Katy Avila is a writer and teacher living in Oakland, CA. She's got a Scorpio sun and a Leo moon and knows that means nothing to most people but a lot to her. She loves spiders and butterflies and helping people discover the magic of their words and voices. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles and has been published in Tiferet and Lunch Ticket.
